Day 1 - Arrival / Arusha

Depending on your operating flight, arrival at Arusha / Kilimajaro airport, meeting with the guide and transfer to your lodge near Arusha / Karatu, overnight stay.

Day 2 - Tarangire Park

Breakfast at the lodge / tented camp and departure for the Tarangire park, a day dedicated to the photo safari in the park and a picnic lunch; late afternoon arrival at the lodge / tented camp, dinner and overnight stay.
The Tarangire park is located at 1,100 meters S.l.m. and has an area of ​​2,600 square kilometers; is called the "park of the giants"; in this park you will have the opportunity to see many Baobab trees, typical of this area of ​​Tanzania and many elephants, besides these two species there will be the possibility of encountering zebras, from wildebeest, alcelafi, minor kudu, dikdik, numerous species of gazelles, buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, cheetahs and of course lions.

Day 3 - Manyara Park

Breakfast at the lodge / tented camp and departure for the Manyara park; arrival formalities and entry, picnic lunch in the park and afternoon dedicated to the game drive, sunset out of the park and arrival at the lodge / tent camp chosen, dinner and overnight stay.
The Lake Manyara National Park in Tanzania is located just below the Rift Valley escarpment and consists of a strip of land about 50 km long and between 6 and 8 km wide. the lake that rises inside the park is an alkaline water lake, the ecosystem of the Manyara park, given precisely by the presence of the lake, is unique in its kind and among the northern parks there and therefore you will have the opportunity to cross entire wooded areas alternated with flat and open, you can see pink flamingos, baboons elephants, many species of birds, there are 500 different and the famous lions that climb trees!

Day 4 - Ngorongoro Crater

Breakfast at the lodge / tented camp and departure for the Ngoro Ngoro conservation area; at the entrance of the park you will have the chance to see a model that illustrates the entire conservation area and that will help you better understand the geography of the area; during the journey we will reach the 2,200 meters above sea level and then descend to around 1,600 meters inside the crater; suitable clothing will therefore be required; day dedicated to the photo safari in the crater, the lunch will be a picnic in the park, in the late afternoon exit from the park and arrival at the lodge / tent camp chosen, which can be directly on the slopes of the volcano with an incomparable scenic view on the caldera or in one of the lodges / neighboring tented camps at the park entrance. Dinner and overnight stay
The conservation area has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in
1979 and in 2013 received the award as one of the seven wonders of Africa. The highlight of the safari has arrived!
The caldera of the extinct Ngorongoro volcano has created a unique ecosystem in the world, a paradise on earth!
The concentration of fauna is impressive: it is estimated that it is inhabited by over 25,000 large animals, in the crater you can see most of the typical species of the savannah: elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, jackals, hippos, baboons, cheetahs, leopards, lions ... .. many lions ...
The crater also hosts 22 black rhinos, the last survivors of a species that in the rest of Tanzania is on the verge of extinction.

Day 5 - Arusha / Departure

Breakfast at the lodge / tented camp and departure towards Arusha, possibility to stop for a visit to a Masai village (optional) and meeting with the population seen at their homes (boma), or guided walk in the town of Mto Wa Mbo (optional ) with the possibility of seeing the daily life of a typical Tanzanian town; Picnic lunch / restaurant and based on the times of your flights arriving at the airport for a domestic flight to Zanzibar or other seaside resorts or transfer to Kilimajaro international airport and flight to Europe!

For organizational reasons, the order of visits to the parks may undergo variations without altering their contents.

The travel itineraries that AfriSafaris has created will allow you to enjoy the beauties of Tanzania and make the most of your time.
