Day 1 - Dar es Salam

Arrival in Dar Es Salam, transfer to the hotel, overnight stay.

Day 2 - Dar Es Salam - Selous Game Reserve

Transfer to the airport and departure with the internal flight to the Selous reserve.
Arrival at the park and afternoon dedicated to motor boat safari, at sunset arrival at the dinner camp and overnight stay.
The Game Reserve is one of the largest territories in the world dedicated to the protection of flora and fauna. With an area of ​​54000Km², the Selous reserve belongs to an ecosystem of 75000Km² which includes the Mikumi park and the Game Controle Area of ​​Kilombero.
Almost all of the reserve is devoted to hunting, only the northern part of the RUFIJI river is reserved for photographic safaris.
The tourist facilities remain modest compared to the vastness of the territory. Currently only six camps welcome tourists.

Day 3 - Selous wildlife reserve

Day of off-road game drives in the Selous Reserve. Mostly flat and characterized by higher temperatures than the Parks of the North circuit, the Selous includes very different environments: miombo forests, baobab-strewn clearings, ebans, acacias, rocky hills with shaved grass, dark earthy plains flooded during the season of rains, swamps and lakes among the meanders of the Rufiji.

Day 4 - Selous wildlife reserve - Dar Es Salm / Zanzibar

Breakfast at the tent camp, morning dedicated to the photo safari in the park with the jeep, at the end transfer to the airport and departure of the flight to Dar Es Salam / Zanzibar for any sea extensions
The safari to the Selous park can also be done completely with the jeep thus excluding an internal flight, the journey time between Dar es Salma and the wildlife reserve is about 6 hours

For organizational reasons, the order of visits to the parks may undergo variations without altering their contents

Important!

The travel itineraries that AfriSafaris has created will allow you to enjoy the beauties of Tanzania and make the most of your time.
