THE WONDERS OF TANZANIA

Day 1 - Arrival / Arusha

Arrival at the airport, meeting with the guide and departure for the Arusha national park which is located not far from the city, the first game park in the park and a picnic lunch, at the end arrival at the lodge / tent camp chosen, dinner and overnight stay.
With an area of ​​137 km², and an altitude of 1,930 meters, the park includes numerous distinct habitats. Three main areas can be distinguished: the Ngurdoto crater, the Momela lakes and Mount Meru. One of the attractions inside the park is a huge fig tree that grows right on the slope and is so big that it allows a jeep to pass under its roots !! The park is also known for having the largest concentration of giraffes in the park. world other animals present are for example hippos, buffaloes, warthogs, numerous species of antelope, leopards and hyenas.

Day 2 - Natron

Breakfast at the lodge, and departure for Lake Natron, picnic lunch during the transfer, upon arrival accommodation at the lodge / tented camp. In the afternoon, excursion on foot along the Engare Sero stream that flows into a narrow rocky gorge until reaching a waterfall where it is possible to swim.
Natron is a usual nesting area for millions of pink flamingos that, especially during the dry season (June-October), crowd its banks. The area, extremely arid, is dominated by the perfect cone of the Oldoinyo Leng'ai, the volcano sacred to the Maasai people, its altitude touches 3000 meters, the Oldoinyo Leng'ai is the only volcano in the world to emit lava natro-carbonatitica, rich in sodium carbonate, with very low viscosity and temperature, given that it flows between 500 and 590 ° C.

Day 3 - Natron

Full board at the lodge / tented camp. Departure in the morning to reach the shores of the lake, if the weather conditions permit it will be possible to wait for the dawn on the shores of the Lago.ed and admire the colonies of flamingos; visit to the fossilized footprints of Engare Sero brought to light in 2008 visit and to a Masai village. Return to the lodge / tented camp.

Day 4 - Serengeti

Breakfast at the lodge and departure for the Serengeti National Park, a picnic lunch while traveling in an equipped area. Immediately after lunch, arrival at the park entrance and first game drive in the north-eastern part of the park, at the end arrival at the lodge / tented camp, located directly inside the park, dinner and overnight stay.
The Serengeti National Park is one of the main tourist attractions of the country and is the most famous of the protected natural areas of East Africa, here you can see all the "big five": elephant, lion, leopard, rhino (black) and buffalo. The park was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1981 and it is estimated that it hosts 1.5 million wildebeests, 300,000 zebras, 150,000 gazelles, 3,000 lions and 1,360 elephants !! The type of vegetation characteristic of the Serengeti, the open savannah, facilitates sightings and it is for this reason that it is possible here for unparalleled game drives.

Day 5 - Serengeti

Day dedicated to photo safari in the Serengeti. Full board at the lodge / tented camp. Wake up early in the morning and depart for the safari at dawn, return to the lodge / tented camp for a few hours of rest; after lunch departure for the afternoon game drive, return, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 - Serengeti

Breakfast at the lodge / tent camp and morning dedicated to the last photo game in the Serengeti park, picnic lunch. In the afternoon departure for the Ngorongoro conservation area where it is expected to arrive in time for sunset, accommodation in lodge / tented camp we recommend to insert a lodge that rises directly directly on the ridge of the volcano at 2,200 meters to enjoy the wonderful view on the crater at sunset, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7 - Ngorongoro

Breakfast at the lodge and descent into the crater, one of the seven wonders of Africa, and the only intact caldera existing on the earth! Day dedicated to the photo safari in the park and picnic lunch; at sunset transfer to the lodge / tented camp, dinner and overnight stay.
The entire area of ​​the Ngorongoro was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979, the crater is an almost perfectly circular arena, its diameter ranges from 16 to 23 km and the surface is about 265 square kilometers: the only descent in the crater it is already a unique esperiana! The concentration of fauna is impressive: it is estimated that it is inhabited by over 25,000 large animals, in the crater you can see most of the typical species of the savannah: elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, jackals, hippos, baboons, cheetahs, leopards, lions ... .. many lions ... The crater also houses 22 black rhinos, the last survivors of a species that in the rest of Tanzania is on the verge of extinction.

Day 8 - Arusha

Breakfast at the lodge / tented camp and departure to return to Arusha. On the way, stop for an excursion (optional) at the village of Mto Wa Mbu for a walk of about 1 hour with a local guide, one of the few opportunities to get in touch with the real life of the small villages of Tanzania and understand how it really lives the Tanzanian population at the edge of national parks. Picnic lunch during the transfer, arrival at the airport in time for your flight.
In this itinerary there will be the possibility to insert one night, for those who wish it, for a trekking on foot in the Olmoti or Empakai crater, the two small craters that arise in the conservation area of ​​Ngornongoro, a unique and unrepeatable experience, trekking not they are too busy, however it is necessary to be in good physical shape to face the 4-5 hours of planned walking, the walks will always be escorted by armed rangers and the lunches will be picnics

For organizational reasons, the order of visits to the parks may undergo variations without altering their contents.
