5 days / 4 nights, Serengeti - Ngorongoro
An itinerary of the 2 main parks of the northern circuit that will amaze you with its landscapes: the mythical Serengeti park, whose name means 'boundless plain' in the Masai language; you will be thrilled by the day inside the Ngorongoro crater, the only intact caldera on earth, the park with the highest concentration of lions in all of Africa and which is home to the last black rhino of Tanzania. You will have time to visit a Masai village with typical houses and meet the proud warriors who were once lion hunters; a journey that will remain in your heart because Africa must be lived at its own pace, and by choosing this safari you can savor all the beauty of the wildest nature!
Day 1 - Arrival / Karatu
Depending on your operational flight, arrival at Kilimanjaro international airport, handling the entry formalities, meeting with the guide and departure towards Karatu, arrival at the lodge, accommodation in the room for dinner and overnight.
Day 2 Karatu - Serengeti
Breakfast at the lodge and departure for the Serengeti national park. Entrance to the Serengeti park, and picnic lunch and first afternoon photo safari, at sunset arrival at the tented camp, dinner and overnight stay. On the road that crosses the area there will be the opportunity to stop for a visit to a Masai village (optional) and meet the population seen at their homes (boma).
The Serengeti National Park represents one of the main tourist attractions of the country and is the most famous of the protected natural areas of East Africa, here you can see all the "big five": elephant, lion, leopard, rhino (black) and buffalo. The park was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1981 and is estimated to host 1.5 million Gnus, 300 thousand zebras, 150 thousand gazelles, 3000 lions and 1360 elephants. Nowhere else in the world can such a concentration of herbivores be seen. The type of vegetation characteristic of the Serengeti, the open savannah, facilitates sightings and it is for this reason that unequaled photo safaris are possible here.
Day 3 - Serengeti
Breakfast at the lodge, full day dedicated to game drive in the Serengeti park. Picnic lunch in the park, at sunset return to the lodge, dinner and overnight.
Day 4 - Serengeti - Ngorongoro
Breakfast at the lodge and departure at dawn for one last photo safari in the Sergenti park, at the end of which we will continue towards the Ngorongoro crater. Upon arrival you will go down to the caldera for the photo safari, lunch will be a picnic inside the park. At sunset, exit the park and arrive at the chosen lodge / tented camp, which can be directly on the slopes of the volcano with an unparalleled scenic view of the caldera or in one of the lodges / tented camps adjacent to the park entrance. Dinner and overnight.
It is estimated that the formation of the crater dates back to around two million years ago and that it may have reached a height similar to that of Kilimanjaro, before collapsing inwards and giving rise to the current conformation. The structure of the crater is circular, with about 20 kilometers in diameter. The climate also differs in this place: while on the edge, which is about 2,200 meters high, the climate is cold and often foggy, inside the caldera the air is hot and dry and the vegetation changes rapidly according to the season. The concentration of lions inside the caldera is unmatched in all of Africa, a photo safari in the Ngorongoro is a unique and unrepeatable experience!
Day 5 - Arusha / Departure
Breakfast at the lodge and departure and departure in the direction of Arusha; picnic lunch (or if you like in a restaurant with supplement) and according to the times of your flights, transfer to Arusha / Kilimanjaro airport in time for your flight.
For organizational reasons, the order of visits to the parks may undergo variations without altering their contents
Your itinerary includes:
• Travel by 4x4 Land Cruiser equipped with openable roof
• Full board from the lunch of the first day to the lunch of the last day (the lunches during the safari are generally picnic baskets supplied by the hotels consumed in special equipped areas)
• Entrance fees to parks and protected areas as per itinerary

• English speaking guide (or your preferred language)
